So i finally put an aftermarket fuel cap on my bike Lightech screw type. I dont know if its just in my head or what but it seems like my mileage has gotten worse since i put it on. is it possible for fuel to evaporate out of these aftermarkets since they dont have the "plug" that goes down into the filler pipe? yeah not the technical name but thats all i can think to call them right now
also yesterday my bike was hovering around 200 degrees while doing 70mph down the hwy in 75 degree weather...with high humidity. I dont recall it ever hovering that high before. it eventually dropped down to 190 but didnt seem to go any lower. I was sitting in 6th gear at roughly 6K RPM. the fans even kicked on while going down an open hwy...they kick on at 205 and off at 195. it cooled down to 190 after the fans kicked on. could this mean somethings wrong with the thermostat? sorry i dont know much about the cooling system. I flushed it and am running distilled water and water wetter for about 2 months now. its just recently it started staying in the higher temps.
