2012 R1 ECU Compatible with 09-11?

Have an R1 that is throwing "50" fault codes and need to swap out the ECU to see if that is the root of the problem.

Purchased a used ECU from a 2012. Will it be compatible with my 2010?

Any help/insight would be greatly appreciated.
