2009 R1-neutral light question:

Can anybody tell me if it's correct behavior to have the green "N" light lit whenever the clutch lever is pulled, even if the bike is in any gear?

I recently noticed this behavior on my bike, and I can't remember if that's normal or not. I know as I click through the gears the "N" light will illuminate as normal when actual neutral is reached. I believe there's a dash (--) in the gear indicator window as well, when true neutral is reached.

Should the green "N" light be lit whenever the clutch lever is pulled, or only when in true neutral?
