Hey guys, I'd appreciate any suggestions to my recent problem. I tried to look around but haven't found anything similar.
Bought my bike on Easter this year and when I got it I changed the oil right away, added a akrapovic y-pipe, and re flashed the ECU with a map that was sent directly from FlashTune for the above mods.
I put on about 2,000 miles without any trouble, and just recently the code 18 (for exup valve) popped up and that is when I started to experience this "choking problem" at high rpms. I removed the cable and left the valve in because I couldn't get the bolts to budge, however I'm pretty sure I've set it to the opened position. Originally I thought it was stuck closed so it would bogg out at high RPMs due to insufficient exhaust flow.
CEL light is off, and the bike still boggs down at about 10K RPMS it won't really go over 120mph smoothly.
Thinking it was the flash, I re flashed it to stock - and then back to the map that was working prior, but still no fix.
Is it possible that the bike needs plugs? I thought misfires due to plugs only happened at lower speeds but it has that misfire feel.
Sorry if I couldn't explain the issue very well, I've been doing pre-calc hw for the last 8 hours and my brain is cashed :eek:
In short, how can I get this bike to open up to high speeds smoothly again???

And on a side note.. I've seen smoke from something burning in the front of the bike recently too, so I don't know if a harness has been burning or what but I've seen a little smoke at one point and smelled it. Maybe that is related? I can't find that problem either :flame:
