Not sure where to post this..so maybe the admin will move it. But, I wanted to post something, I like to acknowledge good people and great service.
I was at Sturgis this last weekend and thought I might have a little issue with my bike. I have an 03 R1 and had a possible overheating issue. Where I live highways are wide open and I never have had to stand still and idle. In Sturgis this weekend there was a lot of sitting going on in traffic. At one point my temp got up to 223, which I thought was a tad high and concerned me a bit. The next day I stopped over at the Yamaha display and asked one of the tech's about it. He instantly said, "just bring it in here right now and we'll take a look at it!" Within minutes, 2 of the Yamaha tech's had the laptop out and where going through the diagnostic codes on my bike. They were able to manually turn on the fan and test everything out. Told me to keep an eye on it, but everything looked ok.
Offered to give them some money, wouldn't take a dime. Then after all that they gave me free Yamalube T shirt!
