need help again guys :( i have a 2004 r1 with 16100 miles and im having some starting problems. i know for a fact that my starter motor is good. just replaced my starter relay and i just bought a new battery last week. if you look at my recent thread i also had some starting problems but that ended up being one of my gears in my bindex box. my starter clutch was grinding on the gear that holds it in place (gear 3). so i fixed that and drove good for about a week or two. now its giving me problems again. another thing is, when my radiator fan turns on and i decide to turn my bike off. as i turn my ignition on and my fan turns on the bike never starts. i hear it try to turn over but it almost sounds like the battery doesnt have enough juice. but how if i just bought a brand new one. i literally have to wait till it cools all the way down before i can even get it started. and over here in texas, this weather is no joke. now when my recent problem got fixed, the technician that fixed my bike told me that my generator (stator assy) which goes in your rotor assy had some chips and dents to the magnet due to the grinding noise coming out in the first place. so im thinking that i need to replace the generator (stator assy) due to the chips and dents that it has. but im afraid that it wont solve the problem. if you guys could give me your opinions it would mean so much. so PLEASE help me out.
