09 - KN204 tightening question

Hello everyone,

I specifically bought the KN 204 filter to tighten it to 12Lbs/Ft so that i could later easily remove it with a 17mm wrench. worked fine the first time. second time, IMPOSSIBLE. I mean, IMPOSSIBLE EVEN with hammer etc god knows. i'm so tired of that filter.

Any ideas? What happened?

Can i just 'hand tighten' it as some threads propose?

On another note, i went ahead and changed the oil after 4k but thus not the filter. Is that OK for another say 2 or 3k or should i change the oil again and put the new filter at my mechanic asap?
