I have a strange issue with my 2011 R1 (3500 miles).
My bike (even after a new lead-acid battery) will only crank once or twice and then die. The battery is fully charged for sure.
With the ignition off, battery reads ~12.4V. With ignition on, battery read ~12.0V. When cranking, it drops to ~3-4V!!! This is even with my HIDs and ALL accessories disconnected (except the PCV).
The funny thing is that I just had a balistic lithium battery in there. The bike started up most of the time (after MANY cranks). I don't have the option of going back to lithium. The bike should start up with a brand new lead-acid anyhow.
What is the first thing I can look at?
