Stolen Parts on Craigslist

I'm selling my bike, and I put it on Craigslist. As I'm scrolling through to see what's on there I keep seeing part outs, or a bunch of parts for different bikes for sale just on one post. And I can't help but wonder. How much of that do you guys think is stolen? I did contact a few just to see what they said when I asked if the still had the frame (because obviously it has the vin), and out of 4, 3 said no. None of them had plastics but I know those or usually first to go when parting out, but also it can help to identify a bike.. Idk about you but I'd rather pay full price for a part new and have piece of mind than buy from some random guy and wonder if I'm supporting some Ahole thieves.

So I was just wondering. What are your thoughts on this? Have you ever bought something off craigslist for your bike and thought the guy was a bit shady? How much do you think is stolen on there? Any interesting stories?
