87 FZR 1000 Genesis Swingarm Swap

Have a friend with an 87 FZR-1000 who wants to swap to a YZF-750 swing arm so he can run a modern width rear tire... Anybody have any experience with this mod or (fingers crossed) have a swing arm or parts laying around you are willing to part with? He is looking for advice and parts. Also anyone who has swapped the 6 speed from the 750 for the 5 speed in the 1000. Any help would be much appreciated!
