Bent forks, maybe triples too?

I low sided at NCBIKE. It was fairly simple and non violent, the bike slid to the edge of the track, hit the dirt/grass and stopped. All cosmetic right? WRONG. I ended up bending my forks somehow. I have replaced them and now I'm still off in the front. It's about an 1/8th of an inch but it's there.

I'm at the point where I guess I bent the triples also but wanted to try to straighten it out first in case I just put it back together a lil off. When I slid the forks up through the bottom and top triples they both went in perfectly. I had no indication that anything was off. It wasn't until I got it all back together that I noticed the wheel is still pointing a bit to the left. I did a test ride and it all felt fine but when I was going straight the top clamp was crooked to the right a bit. I loosened everything again and tried to force the wheel back straight but it didn't work.

Now after I got everything tightened back up I removed the top triple and it doesn't line up easily with the forks and stem, but when I put the forks in top and triple clamps and forks were all agreeing. What gives?

Could I have bent only the upper or lower? I don't want to take the ignition off of the triple unless I have to because of the anti theft bolts. Any thoughts?

Selling my race suit. I've only worn it once around the block to check the fit. Unfortunately it doesn't fit my body very well as I have too big of a gut to fit comfortably in it. Suit is in like new condition. I'm 5'11 270lbs. 48 inch chest and 42 inch waist. The suit fits perfect in the chest and the waist was a little tight on me but I think that's because of my big belly. I have shorter legs and I think the leg length was about an inch too long for me. Other than that the suit is immaculate. I'm asking $350, price includes shipping to anywhere in the lower 48 states.

So 2 weeks ago I removed the training wheels from his pw50. He hadn't been on it since his crash. He rode with me on back of it for a bit. This morning he duck walked it down the yard and back and then started picking his feet up on his own. This evening he was turning left and right and challenging others to races :lol

He crashed once but got right back on

05 R1 gutted exhaust PCV map

So I just recently did the race baffles and gutted cat in the stock exhaust system and got a PCV. I cant for the life of me find a map that will make the deceleration popping go away! I know that its running to rich but I don't know how to tune my bike myself and I don't have the money to go get it custom tuned. Has anybody found a map that works well with the de cat and race baffles? I didn't do the exup delete.

2001 R1... doesnt seem to ride smooth.

hey guys, not sure how to really explain this, but here goes...

i have a 2001 R1, it just doesn't seem to track right down the road anymore. at low speeds its fine, but at higher speeds on the highway, it just feels a bit off. i wouldn't say it wiggles... not bad anyway. it used to feel like it was on rails before. i have wheels from a 2010 R1, a new steel Vortex 48 tooth rear, a new 16 tooth Vortex front and Braking directional wave rotors all around. i did all that two seasons ago, rode awesome.

so, i checked my chain slack, a little loose, not terrible, adjusted that. front sprocket nut was loose, tightened that. rear axle nut was tight. can't feel any play in the swing arm, but i did get a 1/4+ turn out of the swing arm pivot bolt. also got a 1/4+ turn out of the front axle bolt.

could it be any, or all of these little things combined?

also should mention... and this is reaching. i haven't ridden much street this season. been spending a lot of time on dirt, especially on my quad... am i just more used to dirt now and feeling everything on the road that i used to ignore?

anyway, gonna go for another ride and see how she feels.

06 engine knock

So, at the very end of my track day yesterday, my motor developed a rather disturbing engine knock. Funny thing is, it still runs fine with no noticeable loss of power. I ran it for about 1 lap with it making this noise. Couldn't hear it myself until I slowed down, but a corner worker flagged me off the track because he heard it and thought the motor was gonna blow up. I was running it pretty hard towards the end when they let us run by ourselves (first track day, novice group). It still went 145+ on the back straight while making the noise. Still starts up and runs fine as you can see in the video, but I'm not running it/riding it until I get this figured out.

Bike is a 2006 R1 with just under 11k miles on the clock. New oil and filter (Mobil 1 4T 10W-40) about 200 miles before doing the track. I have never done a valve adjustment since I've owned the bike (about 2 years).

I pulled the CCT today just to see if anything obvious there, but nothing seemed out of the ordinary. Reinstalled CCT (properly, but without a new gasket as I don't have one-will replace later) and the noise is no different.

Any help or expert opinion is greatly appreciated

Returning my 06 R1 LE back to mostly stock or all stock to sell it, not sure yet. I don't ride on the streets since my wife lost her leg in a motorcycle accident. Bike only has 3k miles and the fronts were on maybe half that and the rear is new with less than 100 miles.

Brembo rear underslung kit with bracket, brembo caliper and stainless line. $300

Brembo radial master with lever, blue HEL stainless lines and Brembo Nickel calipers. $1800 obo together or may separate

Is 2004 R1 fuel pump same as R6?

Hey everyone, I'm new here, and have lurked on this forum for a while before registering.

Now down to business; I have a 2004 R1, and broke the fuel connection off the fuel pump (The white plastic nipple that the fuel comes out of). My pump is fine, but obviously this has the bike sitting in my shop, unrideable.

I priced a used pump on ebay and they all seem to go for 100 bucks or so. I looked up the R6 pump, and it looks like the same part, for far less money. Am I wrong? Really as long as the connection thingamajig is the same I'd assume I could make it work.

Additional info: It seems as though the triumph guys are using certain year R1 pumps in certain year Daytonas. Maybe that's an option as well, to use a triumph pump?

Just want to say hello again, sold my 2010 R1 and got a 2012 CB1000R rode it for about a year and it's now replaced with a 2012 R1, I knew I couldn't stay away :) Here's a few pics... I know you guys hate Toce "performance" exhaust haha so take it easy on me alright :bigsmile:
