Car/bike show 2015
Its that time of year again to start thinking of the next gathering .
Auto Show is from Feb 14th -22nd 2015 and for the ones who care for the bike show it is Feb 13th -15th
Since this year we did not do the bike show this year (did not miss anything) I would suggest we do the Auto Show Feb 21st !
Does everyone want to go again to K1speed for go-karts or does anyone have any activities that they would like to put in between we go to dinner.
We already have a member that will take on the burger challenge!!! :corn
Please let me know who will be coming !!

Break in oil, thicker or just normal?
I'm finishing my motor rebuild and was thinkin before I go spending $100's of dollars on oil and such, what is recommended for first oil? A thicker? Thinner? Full synth? I know everyone has their opinion on oil and since I'm high altitude (5600ft) and currently really hot, I'm sure that will have some effect.

City council spokesman Maxim Rovensky today said a riot broke out at the jail after it was hit by a direct rocket, which also left three inmates injured.
He said the fugitives include people jailed for murder, robbery and rape.

Exchanges of rocket fire have become a daily feature of the fighting.

wipe out on hwy at 55mph
So i was looking for room for crashing and didn't find it. Some rider feedback would be nice too.
Today was my maiden voyage outside my little Oregon coast town. I traded my 95 gsx600f for a 99 R1. The front brakes were not bleed right and the bike sat for I don't know how long. I got brakes working but noticed they were dragging the rotor a little when i was at very low speed or pushing. Also the front tire had bad chicken marks and was well worn, I had made an appointment to get a new set of q3s installed Thursday. I was heading to the next town south on 101 when about 10 min into the ride I was doing a steady 60-65 in 4th gear when the bike acted as though it was bogging down from something and so i sat up a little and shifted into 3rd and moments later my front tire went back and forth 2 times then dumped me right. I was at 53when I shifted. The people behind me said they noticed smoke just before i went down. I walked to the bike shut it off and pushed it off the road. It was leaking coolant from the Res. Or I may have tried to drive it home. I got it home and the caliper was stuck to the rotor tight, took some effort to get it off. The pads are very colorful and the cliper piston has a good 1/8th inch of rust where piston meets pad. That's the diagnostic of the right side the side I went down on.
Glad the bike still runs and isn't badly damaged only cosmetic :-)
Glad I didn't slide under a semi and have my head squished....

Slight Problem with head casting
Hey guys, after searching and searching I've had issues finding the casting number on my head. It's 4XV00 Y-2.... I know that a 4XV00 Y-1 is a 99 head and a 4XV01 Y-2 is an 01. The only thing I can find about the casting number on mine is in Russian, any ideas?

FS: 2009 R1 Track Day Bike - 5615 Miles - $8000 - San Diego, CA
I'm Selling my 2009 R1 that I used for Track days. It is by no means a race bike but I do have several mods:
- 3 piece Hot Bodies Fiberglass Racing Plastics
- Sato Racing adjustable rear set Black
- Two pairs of racing slicks One Dunlop the other is Michelin
- One pair of Dunlop GP209's
- ASV Shorty Lever
- LOW MILES only 5615:eek5:
- Ones set of tire warmers
- Carbon fiber tank cover

- The bike is not registered and was used just for track days

- This bike needs a TRAILER or PICKUP Truck to take this off my hands. The bike does not have a kick stand or headlights. It CAN NOT be ridden on the road.

04 r1 Throttle hesitation
Ok I have a 04 R1. The problem is with a throttle hesitation. When riding it and crank the throttle wide open it will really hesitate to take off. Even on the bike stand in neutral it will do the same thing. If I give the bike wide open throttle at 3k rpm then it will cut out/hesitate at 5k and then rev after that fine. Is there any suggestions for this.
I checked the TPS and it reads 16 when closed and 96 when wide open throttle.
The next thing I was going to drain all of the fuel out, put fresh fuel in with some sea foam cleaner and see if it helps.
Any suggestions? I have a video that you can listen to it and watch the rpm gauge bit it wouldn't let me load it onto this thread.

Trailer Chock Preference...baxley or pitbull?
Hello gang. I have a 6x10 V nose and have already mounted some flush D rings on the floor but have not made a decision on the chock situation.
I have 2 in mind, either baxley or pitbull. I like the baxleys since you can do it alone but do require tie downs in the rear.
The pitbulls are good as well since they dont require tie downs but you sort of need help lining up the bike in the trailer, etc.
What are your thoughts??

Need help identifying speedo healer
I've had my bike for about two years now and recently changed the gearing. I knew the bike had a healer, but never had to mess with it. I pulled it out Saturday to have a look and there are no markings on it to tell me who makes it.
Looking for some assistance in IDing this thing so I know which dip-switch does what. Any help is appreciated.

Wiring and hose routing
Looking for a drawing or diagram that shows, how and where hoses are routed. Wiring isn't too key to me but the hoses I want to make sure I have them right. Don't wanna send antifreeze into an air intake. Does something like this exist? Was hoping to start breaking in the engine today. My main concern is a tube coming out under the carbs I'm the head itself that, I'm assuming, goes to the air induction system but still not sure.
I tried searching but this app isn't letting me look so hopefully I get some real help. Thanks
