I rebuilt as starter for 2006 R1. I marked the outside casing with a marker when I took it apart, but wasn't paying attention when using carb and brake cleaner to get all the crap out of the starter that it washed the markings off. So now I have the new brushes in the starter and I tested it, turning the center casing around the armature to get it to spin the "fastest", but should it spin clockwise or counter clockwise?

Hello gang...up for sale is a gilles chain adjuster in black that came off a 2006 R1. This will ONLY fit on a 2006 swing arm, since they were longer than 2005-2005.
I bought the part thinking of doing a summer project and swapping out my 2005 for a 2006 boxed swinger but have changed my mind since I found a Harris swinger for free....:D
The part has normal wear and tear. On the bracket that goes behind the chain adjuster, it is cracked and I have epoxied the bracket back together. This in no way lessens or weakens the part since when its tightened up sits flush. This was on a 2006 R1 and there was NEVER an issue.
If you are not happy with the part, for whatever reason, I will accept a return and issue the buyer a FULL REFUND. That is how confident I am that you will feel the same way once it has been installed. Buyer pays return shipping.
I will ship USPS 2 day is $5.35.

FS: 2008 Red R1 - 6500 Miles - $7500 - Tulsa, OK
Runs great! No problems. Comes with new chain and extended brake line if wanted. Bike had a custom extended swing arm on it when I bought it. That was swapped out for a stock one bought off ebay. It does have a bit of damage on the swing arm show in the picture. Other than that the bike is near perfect. Title is clean but I do have a loan on it. Asking $7,500. No joy rides. Must have cash in hand for test rides. Located in Tulsa, Ok

Purposely Mismatching Tires
I've had the old girl for close to 10 years now with almost 93,000km and every set but one (one matched Pirelli Diablo Rosso Corsa Set for track school) have been mismatched. I always keep the same brands but would go with a touring tire for the rear and a sport tire for the front. I want to get more life out of my tires but always go with a sport/stickier tire for the front for the added comfort of having a stickier tire up front.
4 X "Michelin Pilot Road 1's for Rear with Pilot Power/2ct for Front"
1 X "Michelin Pilot Road 2 for Rear with Pilot Power/2ct for Front"
4 X "Pirelli Angel's for the rear with Pirelli Rosso Corsa's for the front"

Yoshimura mid pipe swap???
Ok so I bought some Yoshimura trs slip ons for my 04 R1. Only problem is that they came off of an 07 08. So i guess the mid pipes or "s bends" are different. Can i just order the mid pipes for that exhaust but for the 04 05 06 model r1?
What are my options?? I cant even find a part number for them. Thanks in advanced.

clutch basket dampening spring help !
so i replaced my basket with a hinson set up and shimmed the damping springs with grade 8 washers and its super quite now but i really want to have new springs not old worn ones shimmed ! I've used the search button for months with no luck ! can someone please tell me either the tension per color of spring or where i can purchase upgraded replacements please !
